Gazel’s debut album explores themes of dreams, illusion, individualism, and the great mystery of the human mind. Gazel’s Book of Souls is due for release on October 4th.
Gazel’s Book of Souls is the story of a teenage girl called Gazel living in a desert town in the middle-east. The town suffered a widespread fire when she was a child, leaving her with only fragmented memories of her family and former life. In researching the suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire, Gazel discovers the existence of the Souls – spiritual entities that have governed the fates of the region since the beginning of time.
In order to understand the events that led to the tragedy, Gazel travels through uncharted desert and discovers the hidden world of the collective unconscious. A turbulent and disorientating realm, it is here that Gazel comes face to face with the ancient Souls and with her own personal myth.
