Deco presents The Deco Double Dayer – Part 2

Please note this is an 18+ event

Part 2 of a 2 day extravaganza across 2 venues, with:

Giant Boys

Giant Boys are the Salford based Post Punk duo of Scottie McKnight & Guy Connor. They formed in the spring of 2017 out of a mutual desire to record something satisfyingly heavy. As the project progressed, it became clear that the Giant Boys ethos was to write and record very quickly, always using first takes and never overthinking or labouring songs, allowing the initial energy and feel of the idea to be what is finally heard on record.

Hand picked by Everything Everything to play at Band On The Wall for 2018’s Off The Record New Music Festival & Conference, Giant Boys have also been featured on the BBC Introducing Mixtape, included in BBC 6’s Tom Robinson’s Fresh Faves blog, and played on his BBC 6music show, as well the BBC Radio Manchester Introducing show, XS Manchester and Amazing Radio.

Made in Lancaster, UK in 2018, the band called TV FACE are a DIY, post-punk, noisy-pop trio who pen angular musical-missives about politics, parasites and jigglybopsiwotsits.

“a psycho-pop ensemble with a truly enormous live sound…complete insanity in all its beauty, packaged into a neat selection of punchy tunes” (Final Hours)

“punchy tracks that make you want to dance” (FoTN)

Chemical Imbalance is a mordant tale about being lost-at-sea in a broken mental-health system, whilst Jiggly Bopsiwotsit takes a well-aimed throw at upcycling fashionistas.
Recorded at Stonegate Recording Studios with Sam Parkinson.

SWINE are a 4 piece crack rock/punk band hailing from Swinton, Salford. MUSIC FOR THE FOOLS BRITANNIA.

We’ve not had them on since April at The Railway and really pleased to add them to this line-up

Gorgeous Bully

“Hailing from Manchester, Gorgeous Bully is continuing to craft fuzzed up anthems in the style of Mississippi icon’s The Cavaliers and Bass Drum of Death whilst adding his own pinch of lo-fi melancholia” The Line Of Best Fit

“Set around a chunky, instantly catchy guitar riff, the track talks of inner struggles but projects them via brilliantly sunny instrumentation, contrasting light and dark perfectly” DIY

Noontide Sleeper

Apocalypse Banjo, Folk Noir

Noontide Sleeper awoke during the gloom of Manchester’s winter months

£7 per show – both shows for £10. Other Date – The Castle Friday 19th July – https://thecastlehotel.info/events/the-deco-double-dayer-part-1/
